Travis Michalke

Senior Managing Consultant, Building Energy Analytics
Travis has more than two decades of learned experience and practical knowledge in engineering design, building science, and energy efficiency.

Travis is a licensed professional engineer, certified energy manager, and a senior building energy analyst. He has more than two decades of experience in project management and leadership in engineering design, building science, and energy efficiency. His expertise is grounded in the practical application of engineering and first-order principles, modeling, simulation, data analytics, and tool development.

With a background in building design and energy efficiency, Travis supports federal agencies, state and local governments, and utility customers on their energy efficiency initiatives, including emerging technologies, policy analysis, and program development and implementation. He has applied experience leading the study, development, and design of policy and facility-level projects. He has also performed building assessments, designed building systems, and has working knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.

Before joining us, Travis managed an energy efficiency practice for a consulting engineering firm located in the Washington, D.C. metro area. He was a member of both the city of Falls Church’s Environmental Services Council and its Energy Efficiency and Climate Change Subcommittee.
