Nancy Caplan
Nancy Caplan has more than 25 years of strategic communications and marketing experience in the energy industry with expertise in strategic planning and implementation, brand development and campaign management, executive consulting and writing; crisis communications and issues management, employee communications and media relations; event planning and production; and publication editing and design.
Nancy is also experienced in the energy-related issues that dominate both local and national public policy making and has served as an integral part of the corporate team when communicating on such critical issues as electricity reliability, clean air and water, corporate sustainability and environmental responsibility, energy efficiency and conservation, smart grid technologies, and energy deregulation.
Nancy leads the ICF marketing team focused on promoting numerous energy efficiency outreach programs for utilities and other organizations, including Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE), Pepco, Delmarva Power & Light (DPL), Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO), Central Hudson, Entergy Corporation, Consumers Energy, Detroit Edison (DTE), Ameren Missouri, Public Service of Oklahoma (PSO), AEP Texas, Southern California Edison, San Diego Electric & Gas, Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN), and Energy Trust Oregon.
She holds a B.A. in History and Spanish from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
