ICF Next, Lloyds Banking Group, and Mind Gym win top awards for game-changing transformation project
ICF Next, Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), and Mind Gym have won two prestigious awards for our collaborative, game-changing overhaul of the bank’s performance management program. The marketing campaign “Your Best” puts colleague growth, wellbeing, and performance at the heart of the bank’s transformation.
Together, we dominated in two of the biggest categories at the Institute of Internal Comms Awards. “Your Best” scooped the headline IoIC Grand Prix 2020 award, as well as the Game Changer award.
A bureaucracy-busting approach to performance management
“Your Best” was LBG’s first overhaul of its performance management in over 20 years. LBG rolled out over 250,000 hours of training to its 65,000 colleagues across the UK. The bureaucracy-busting approach focuses on continual coaching and two-way colleague conversations.
“We knew this would be big when we took the brief back in September 2018. Since then, we’ve supported LBG at every stage to shape ‘Your Best,’ push it forward, and keep the drumbeat going,” said James Wilkins, managing partner of ICF Next.
“’Your Best’ is a truly game-changing piece of work—it’s been one of the flagship projects of our ongoing transformation.”
Adding efficiencies, inspiring pride
And it’s working. Managers are spending 60% less time on admin and paperwork. A notable 90% of colleagues who have engaged in Your Best believe the changes will improve performance—and an impressive 94% feel proud to work at LBG.
“LBG’s leadership are among the first in the UK to adopt a scientific approach to changing how people think, feel, and behave across the Group. Their pioneering determination has paid off handsomely with these enviable results," said Octavius Black, CEO of Mind Gym.
While we always appreciate industry recognition, the true reward is knowing that we helped thousands of LBG employees be their “best.”
