Digital modernization requires data—but a huge portion isn’t being used
We asked 500 federal data and analytics professionals if they thought their agency’s data is fully utilized. Their answers may surprise you.
Every federal digital modernization project, from cloud migration to generative AI adoption, requires data. But it isn’t enough to just have data. Data needs to be accessed, interpreted, and utilized—by the right people—to be fully effective.
Why are agencies leaving a third of their data untapped? That may also explain why mission leaders (50%) and data and analytics pros (49%) more frequently cite limited access to data from other agencies or state governments as a leading data challenge, compared to IT pros (41%).
