Jim is an expert in effectively delivering broadband technology to rural areas throughout the United States.

Jim Warta has more than 25 years of experience in the utilities sector, including gas, electric, telecom, renewables, and national broadband companies, in capacities such as government, public and regulatory affairs, consulting, public relations, and technical management. His work spans numerous states and the federal government, working closely with regulatory agencies, legislatures, and NGOs. Included in his experience is state and federal grants management, lobbying for laws advancing broadband development and working with agencies that will implement broadband programs. During his employment at KPMG, TVG, and others, Jim has developed strong relationships with industry leaders, served as a SME on industry panels, and helped shape current broadband programming and legislation. He understands the value of trusted interaction and leveraging that capital effectively.

Recently, Jim was involved in the Capital Projects Fund (CPF), the Broadband Equity and Deployment Fund (BEAD), and various state broadband programs. His extensive experience and knowledge in rural broadband deployment dates back to 1996, well before funded broadband programs today. Jim has an in-depth understanding of the issues dealing with rural broadband and the solutions to deliver successful results.
