Adam Ungson
Adam is an expert in multicultural communications with more than 12 years of experience.
Adam Ungson has over 13 years of experience planning, executing, and evaluating projects that address health and socioeconomic disparities among multicultural populations, including Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Adam is highly skilled at writing and editing, materials development, community engagement, partnership planning, and dissemination. He earned his plain language certification from a one-year program at Simon Fraser University in 2023. He ensures plain language guidelines and cultural competency best practices are applied to initiatives that reach consumers and other audiences.
Mr. Ungson has supported contracts that address energy equity in Maryland and New Jersey. His clients have included Pepco Holdings Inc. and Public Service Electric & Gas Company (PSE&G).
Mr. Ungson has also supported Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) contracts that address environmental justice, more specifically tribal waste management and oil refinery pollution and cleanup on St. Croix.
Finally, Mr. Ungson has supported public health contracts that addressed prostate cancer, drug overdose use prevention flu vaccination, COVID-19, diabetes, asthma, prenatal health, and teen health. His clients have included the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Virginia Department of Health (VDH), DC Department of Health, and American Lung Association (ALA).
