Ridah Sabouni

Senior Director, Energy and Sustainability Programs

Ridah is an expert in the development and execution of clean energy, energy efficiency, and R&D programs focused on the industrial and commercial buildings sectors.

Ridah leads a team of consulting professionals providing commercial and industrial (C&I) energy programs advisory support to a diverse portfolio of government and commercial sector clients. With nearly 20 years of experience, he specializes in clean energy program development and management for U.S. government agencies as well as commercial and international clients. Ridah’s experience includes more than 15 years of consulting support to numerous U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clients across DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) and DOE’s Office of the Under Secretary for Infrastructure – including the DOE Office of State and Community Energy Programs, the Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Technologies Office, and the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains. He has also collaborated with other U.S. federal agencies including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Ridah’s leadership, project management, and advisory project experience includes support for clean energy programs such as the ENERGY STAR® program for C&I and the DOE 50001 Ready Program, Better Buildings Initiative, Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grants Program, and Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program.

Ridah’s areas of technical expertise include C&I strategic energy management (e.g., ISO 50001), energy analysis, and emerging energy technology R&D program development. He is also a skilled technical workshop facilitator, having organized dozens of stakeholder engagement workshops for the U.S. government.
