Puneet Goel is an energy transition leader with more than 18 years of experience in the oil, gas, and renewable fuels. He is currently heading ICF’s fuels and resources practice in South Asia, with deep expertise in hydrogen, renewable fuels, and traditional energy markets.
Puneet has executed large-scale transformative projects in areas such as energy market assessments, strategy development, organization transformation, and policy advocacy. He has a proven track record in supporting both integrated energy companies and independent players across diverse geographies such as Australia, the U.S., the Middle East, and South Asia. With extensive expertise in traditional fuels (oil, gas, coal) and new generation fuels (green hydrogen, CCUS, biofuels), Puneet supports both Indian and international clients in developing their energy growth strategy.
Beyond his significant experience in the fuels sector, Puneet is also deeply involved in sustainability initiatives, particularly Just Transition in the resources industry. Recently, Puneet has supported a multilateral agency in developing a handbook for India's coal sector with a view of implementing the Just Transition program.
