Ian Bowen
Ian joined our Energy Advisory practice in 2021, where his work involves wholesale energy market modeling and analysis. Ian specializes in the MISO market, with additional experience in the ERCOT, SPP, and CAISO markets.
He participates in both buy- and sell-side analyses for a wide range of clients, including developers, investment banks, and private equity firms. These projects include asset and portfolio valuation; hub and nodal price forecasting; asset dispatch modeling; and analyses of congestion and curtailment, financial hedges, and recontracting opportunities. Ian also contributes to the development of quarterly base cases.
In addition to private sector projects, Ian supported due diligence of the U.S. Department of Energy’s $504.4 million loan guarantee to the Advanced Clean Energy Storage project in Utah—the largest clean hydrogen production and storage facility in the world. He also conducted analyses of public policies, particularly the Inflation Reduction Act.
