ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, was recently awarded continuations and expansions of two current contracts with Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI). The contracts have a combined value of more than $14 million; each has a term of 32 months.
ICF will continue to administer the residential energy efficiency portfolios for two of PHI's Maryland utilities: Pepco and Delmarva Power. In addition, ICF will now support both utilities' commercial multifamily programs with the same comprehensive suite of energy efficiency implementation services, including energy efficiency expertise, digital and interactive services, data analytics and IT solutions, creative and marketing expertise, and incentive processing and call center support.
"Pepco and Delmarva Power are expected to surpass their EmPOWER Maryland energy efficiency goals this year," said Selim Karabulut, vice president for ICF International. "Both are recognized industry leaders and consecutive winners of ENERGY STAR awards in 2014 and 2015. We are proud of the contributions the ICF team has made to these accomplishments and look forward to working with PHI to identify innovative approaches to achieving even greater energy savings and customer satisfaction."
"ICF continues to invest in innovative new program designs that can stand alone or support an existing portfolio," added Mike Mernick, senior vice president for ICF. "This commercial multifamily program is a perfect example of an additive program that will complement our ongoing work with PHI, while helping its operating utilities reach an important market segment—their multifamily customers."
The EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act is a statewide initiative with the goal of reducing the overall per capita electric consumption and demand by 15 percent by 2015.
