Seungwon (Isaac) Suh is a director of data analytics and reporting for our disaster management business, primarily supporting one of our largest clients with data initiatives built on cloud-based data platforms, including ICF’s proprietary grantTRAX®.

GrantTRAX® leverages automations and custom codes powered by AI tools, which reduce the need for manual data entry and processing, freeing up time for stakeholders to focus on more strategic tasks.

Since he joined ICF five years ago, Isaac’s curiosity and passion for project management and the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI (GenAI) technologies led him to self-train and earn certifications in both. And he’s made significant strides to bring AI/GenAI solutions to support a growing list of disaster management clients across the nation.

“I’ve always tried to stay current on new trends in data analysis and reporting, which is what drew me to learn more about AI. I wanted to bring greater efficiency and productivity to our work supporting clients by using AI effectively and securely.”

In late 2023, Isaac became involved with a groundbreaking effort with the Project Management Institute (PMI)—the leading authority in project management—to contribute to testing the development of PMI Infinity™, an AI-powered tool built on ChatGPT designed specifically for and vetted by project managers.

This experience motivated him to apply for and secure one of 15 coveted spots through a highly competitive global application process to contribute to the development of PMI’s first-ever Standard for Artificial Intelligence in Portfolio, Program, and Project Management. Scheduled to publish in 2025, the new standard aims to “establish a framework to govern the development, deployment, and oversight of AI initiatives within an organization [to] ensure the responsible and effective use of AI while promoting transparency, fairness, and accountability throughout the portfolio, program, or project lifecycle.”

Isaac’s passion for continuous learning embodies the innovative spirit of our employees and their enthusiasm for embracing new challenges, contributing to our collective impact for clients and communities.
