Extreme heat targets the most vulnerable
Extreme heat is particularly dangerous for disadvantaged communities. Our latest climate modeling shows how it will intensify and offers strategies to help communities prepare for, withstand, and recover from the heat.
Setting the bar with our GHG emissions reduction goals
ICF has been recognized with a Climate Leadership Award for excellence in greenhouse gas emissions management goal setting
For more than 40 years, we’ve been at the forefront of climate change solutions—helping our clients define methods, supporting international climate agreements, and developing landmark studies that advance the field. Since the early 1990s, we've been supporting the Environmental Protection Agency in developing the U.S. greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory. We are well-versed in how to create accurate, complete, and transparent GHG accounting and goals.
In addition to advising clients on climate solutions, we've stayed true to "walking the talk" with our own GHG reduction efforts. We've led the pack as the first professional services firm to be carbon neutral. And we made a public declaration with our science-based target and encouraged others in our industry to do the same.
"We leverage our team of climate experts to rigorously estimate our footprint, identify where we can make a bigger impact, and act on emerging opportunities where we can move the needle on climate action even further." — Marian Van Pelt, senior vice president, climate and clean energy
Now we've been recognized with a 2021 Climate Leadership Award for goal setting by The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) and The Climate Registry. The awards recognize exemplary corporate, organizational, and individual leadership in reducing carbon pollution and addressing climate change in their operations and business strategies.
“Being a climate leader and advocate for ambitious action means taking the steps today that set up opportunity for the future. ICF has shown exactly that kind of foresight and has set an example among its peers.” — Nathaniel Keohane, president, Center for Climate and Energy Solutions
