As agencies charge ahead with digital modernization, there is concern over a knowledge gap that may affect execution of the data strategy. 88% of mission leaders report their agency is prepared to use AI as part of overall data strategy, but only 33% of federal data and analytics professionals say their agency has sufficient AI implementation skills within their workforce. The remaining 67% believe they will either need to hire new talent with AI specific skills, upskill their workforce, or both.
