Electric Aviation infrastructure: What do we need to get ready?
Electric Aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are racing to develop and get new and exciting aircraft technology certified. Electric aviation holds the promise of opening up air travel to a much wider population in the UK and in Europe.
But the path to aviation decarbonization is full of uncertainties. Determining the supporting infrastructure that will need to be in place in advance of launch, evaluating available aircraft technologies, and aligning on a realistic timeline for implementation are some of the many questions that need to be answered.
What can we learn from airports that are pursuing electric aviation? In this webinar we discuss some of the key questions such as:
- What actions will airports need to take in order to support future aircraft technologies?
- What is the appropriate electrical supply network needed for charging, and will the airport’s grid be sufficient to support operations?
- Who will pay for the required infrastructure?
- Can the energy supply be carbon neutral?
