Yasar Yetiskin
Yasar is a senior consultant based in ICF's London office, specializing in sustainable aviation solutions, with a particular focus on Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). He is utilizing his skills in chemical engineering, strategy development and policy design to support public and private aviation industry stakeholders across the world in their SAF related efforts. This ranges from providing SAF market intelligence and conducting due diligence assessments to emerging SAF facilities, to building and implementing SAF strategies and policies.
He advises airlines on their SAF strategies, and supports their SAF implementation efforts, including offtake agreements. He also supports investors and fuel producers on SAF opportunities, and was one of the co-authors of the World Economic Forum’s Power-to-Liquids Roadmap: Fueling the Aviation Energy Transition in the United Arab Emirates white paper, focusing on the United Arab Emirates’ SAF future. Before joining ICF, Yasar worked in technical engineering consultancy, petrochemicals and energy sectors in various organizations, including SOCAR Turkey.
Trained as a chemical engineer, Yasar holds a MSc. Environmental Technology degree from Imperial College London, in which he explored the role of policy instruments in scaling up Carbon Capture technologies. His studies were fully funded by European Commission through Jean Monnet Scholarship Program, and he was awarded the AECOM prize by Imperial College London for the most outstanding overall course performance in his master’s program.
