Janelle Gordon

As a lead analyst at ICF, Janelle Gordon focuses on the implementation of the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) on ICF’s contract with the Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor, and Human Trafficking in the Department of Labor’s (DOL) International Labor Affairs Bureau.

Prior to joining DOL, Janelle was an attorney-advisor in the Regulations and Rulings Directorate at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) where she drafted administrative decisions regarding civil penalties and seizures for several customs violations including forced labor, intellectual property rights, and cultural antiquities. Janelle also worked as a staff attorney in the Government Investigations and White Collar Litigation Department at McGuireWoods LLP, and as an ESL teacher in Hon Atsugi, Japan. She received her JD from Howard University School of Law, her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from Illinois State University and has taken courses at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and American University’s Washington College of Law.
