Extreme heat targets the most vulnerable
Extreme heat is particularly dangerous for disadvantaged communities. Our latest climate modeling shows how it will intensify and offers strategies to help communities prepare for, withstand, and recover from the heat.
As ICF’s director of policy analysis, Margaret Black specializes in economic and environmental analysis and technical communications informing the development of policies and programs that safeguard the environment and protect human health and safety. She leads collaborations with subject matter experts through processes such as expert elicitation, technical working groups, and formal peer reviews to help ensure decisions are grounded in the best available data and science. As a director at ICF, Margaret’s work supports climate change mitigation and adaptation, clean energy, transportation safety, and plastic pollution reduction.
