Mike McCurdy is an energy expert with more than 24 years of experience guiding lenders, developers, and select government clients in the financing, sale, and purchase of energy assets. He specializes in photovoltaic, power, renewable chemical, renewable fuels, geothermal, and food processing markets. Mike manages energy projects, technical and economic reviews of emerging and established technologies, independent engineering/lender’s engineer services for greenfield and M&A, monitoring of construction and performance testing, and technical support for non-standard lending events such as debtor-in-possession financing and workout situations.
Over the course of his career, Mike has served as a lender’s engineer both in the U.S. and internationally for solar, biomass power, renewable chemical, conventional ethanol, cellulosic ethanol (thermal and enzymatic), biodiesel, renewable diesel/jet fuel, bitumen, waste oil, food processing, geothermal, concentrating solar, and plastic waste-to-fuel projects. He is currently lending his expertise to the United Nations Expert Group on Resource Management as a member of the Renewable Energy Working Group and Bioenergy Sub-Group for the classification and estimation of renewable energy reserves.
